George Washington Class, 598 Class, Submarine Memorial Display Shadow Box, 6" x 8", Black
This unique collector box (5.75 x 7.75 x 1.2) pays homage to the first nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines in the US submarine fleet: the George Washington Class. The fleet of 5 subs compromised the "41 for Freedom" group of submarines and served well into the 80s. The first George Washington class submarine, SSBN-598, launched in service in 1959 and 4 others were eventually built. This unique collector's box features two custom made 3D resin models of a George Washington Class submarine - a profile view and an overhead view. In addition to the profile views, this unique display features vital statistics as well as a complete fleet registry listing every George Washington class submarine constructed.
